The competition

MIT €100K Portugal is a national entrepreneurship competition that selects innovation-based projects. The winning project represents Portugal by pitching at the international MIT $100K competition in Boston (USA). The 2027 edition is the second edition.

The competition respects the principles, values and spirit of the international competition, as an independent adaptation to the national context.

The MIT $100K

The MIT $100K is the international entrepreneurship competition promoted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston.

The winner of MIT €100K Portugal takes part as an invited project: it pitches its idea but does not compete for the international competition's monetary prizes, which are reserved for MIT students.

Who organises it

The initiative is organised by Portuguese higher education students from Académica Start UC, in institutional partnership with MIT Portugal, the University of Coimbra and Instituto Pedro Nunes, and developed together with the organising team of MIT $100K (USA).
